| | Sep 9, 2009 - Amsterdam | I'm sitting in the Amsterdam airport, waiting to catch my flight home to Seattle. I had a great trip, but I am ready to go home. It was nice to end the trip with another night in Amsterdam, where I began, esp. after St. Petersburg, which was rather gray and cold. I arrived about 8:00 pm last night, to a gorgeous, warm evening. I walked to my hotel from the train station, through the cute cobbled streets and canals of Amsterdam, passing small cafes filled with happy people drinking wine and dining on the streets. I stopped at a small cafe near my hotel for a quick dinner, just enjoying the evening before heading to bed early. It was the perfect way to end my trip.
